Romero's Season Debut In GIFs, Tweets And A Chart
Ricky Romero made his season debut on Friday and, unfortunately, it wasn't the feel-good story Blue Jays fans were hoping for.
Perhaps it went better than expected early on, but by the end of his abbreviated outing, his first start of 2013 included a little bit of the good, bad, and painful (pretty much in chronological order, too).
You don't wish these kinds of outings on any pitcher, and Romero is no exception.
First, some inside the numbers stuff via Brooks Baseball, and then Ricky Romero's 2013 debut by way of GIFs and Tweets.

Life is good

And then the 4th inning (The Bad)
Comebacker (way to stay with it, though)
Romero in 4th: 9 batters, 2 hits, 3R, 1 HR, 3BB, 1 HBP, 1 shot off forearm, 2 medical mound visits, 37 pitches.— John Lott (@LottOnBaseball) May 4, 2013
Seager on Romero: “He has always had good stuff. His ball moves all over the place. Everything has a lot of movement on it.”— Chris Toman (@Chris_Toman) May 4, 2013
Overall, Romero said his outing is "nothing to hang my head about." Lost command in 4th but feels he knows what he must to make adjustment.— John Lott (@LottOnBaseball) May 4, 2013
Crazy 24 hours for Romero, who flew in late from Tampa, couldn't sleep and was stopped by a cop while driving to the ballpark this morning.— Brendan Kennedy (@BKennedyStar) May 4, 2013
